last week week 1 trem 2
I think some of the other groups were really good.
We also had our last final developments in our group devise pieces, we have now come up with an idea and are goign with that, we are a starting to make dissisions and i think its goign quite well, although i would like the boys to have more of an imput!
drama holiday session
We made ideas and explored what each member of the group could add to our ideas. Even though we are not going with any of the ideas that we came up with in the holiday session it was still a good opertunity to get to know Glen a little more and talk to him.
We then came together as a class to explore Konstantin Sergeyevich Stanislavsky theory, which was interesting, we look more indepth and explored each aspect of his theory. We then had to apply his theory to our individual character. I basical did just a normal 16 year old girl, as we had not yet ditinguished our characters.
We then wrote two sentences with 'I' at the beggining and 'you' at the end, the words in the middle had to be a contradiction of eachother. I only realised this when i handed my paper in, woops...
I wrote 'i loath you' and i despise you' which is basicaly they same thing.
We then handed in our papers and recieved a diffrent one in exchange, i recieved 'I intimidate you' and 'I dominate you' , which had lewis writen all over it...turned out it was his.
We had to sit in the front of the class while the class asked us questions, we had to reply in our given 'attitudes'.
After that i pretty we had lunch which seemed to go on for about two hours. After that i went back to the drama room, and noone was there from my class, i was confused so i disided to go home =].
thats how it went down.

week nine and ten
thats all, bye
the ISP watching week!!
Ah well, i felt i did okay, people seemed to like the makeup, and i enjoyed doing it! i think perhapps, i didnt make enough eye contact with the audience and read off the paper to much even though i memorised it about fifty times....GRRR. oh well its quite nervous for anyone to get up infront of people and express your opinion, i think i did quite well. i was a surprised to find out my mark in drama was a A, i quite possibly jumped for joy when i got my report. I though i was gonna get a low b because i was sure the mark was based on the journal entries and the ISP, which were not my strongest attributes in drama. I was very pleased indeed. It's good to know that you are doing well in something that you enjoy so much!
thanks ciao for now
some time when you asked us to write about a costume...=]
okay got it>>>>>
drama week four and five.
In these weeks we had many strong, indepth, conversations about our ISP and Back Stage Folios, which was vital and helped us understand what our main objective was. When this assignment was first explained i remember thinking...Oh i have heaps of time i'll just do it later, which was a mistake, as it often is in my case. I began to stress, and obsess over, what a Directorial focuss was, although you had explaned t to me many times before, i became frustrated!!! very frustrated!
I pretty much just wanted the whole thing to end, because i ahd asked everyone in my class, if they understood, many of them did, many did not.
I then dissided to prewtty much just chill out and actually sit down and think of what i felt about Romeo and Juliet, and the feelings and perceptions i got from it. The whole prosses was quite stressful indeed, but once i had come up with an idea, i was very, very happy indeed.
week five was mostly a more indepth look at the basic elements of theatre, which are costume, lighting, makeup, setting, ect. This was good beacuse it helped me realise what needed to be put into my back stage folio, and how indepth i needed to go. We spent pretty much every lesson writing down these notes, and asking questions which helped me sooooooooo much!!!! i'm glad we took the time, although it was tidious, to actually explore the assignment.
We also, did little 'work shops' kinda things, on make up whcih was AWSUM, i loved doing it, we had to make our parteners old people, i had kate and i made her look very old indeed! T'was a good experience to work with real stage makeup. You also gave us a light show =S which showed us how lighting brings out facial features and brings out emotions and effects peoples pwerception of a scene, ect.
These two weeks were good to helped me to realise how the ISP and back stage folio worked. I shant forget....!! =]

propps and costumes
okay on this particualar drama lesson, we focused on improvisational skills, we first did an improv game with no materials or props what so ever, this was some what hard, i found it to be reletivly easy though because we have done improve scince year 8 drama and i was a pretty much used to it, but for some people who are starting drama for the first time this year it was a good and influencial game fro them to losen up and really learn what drama is all about.
We then sat in random places on the floor, as you handed out, different props/costumes...i found it funny looking at each persons face upon recieving there costume, there faced seemed to be saying, ' what am i ment to do with this.' ha ha ha i laughed, anyway, i recieved, your white hat thing, because you had forgotten abotu me :( and run out of propps, just kidding, but yer i got the hat thing.
We then had a moment to think and explor the possible characters that could be linked to this prop/costume. I disided to be i rapper/yo yo hommie brother, character, which was the only thing i could think of. We all sat down again, and you made me, molly and willks, stand up and shout out something in our character, i just cae out with this loud 'YEAHH', I found the prop to be very helpfull in extending the range of a character, it helped you get into the 'Zone' more and creat more of a real person.
Props are a useful to embelish a character if it is a difficult on to convay, they helpan actor to become the character.
aimee's excuses for not doing blog =]
A whole lot of drama related stuff has been occuring, since my tree blog entry, which at the end of it promised i would write more in because i had worked out how to actually access it, quite obviously i lied...but none the less i have been recalling the highlights of my drrama experience up here (lifts hand to head and points at brain)...such entries shall be completed over the next week or so, whcih will put me behind yet another week, which doesnt matter, my social life has come to a stand still, so im pretty much free...
I think i'll group weeks up together and then explane my veiws and so on...
I it pretty much took me all day to actually remember how this crazy blog thing works. Yet again i had forgotten my passowrd and e mail thing....whcih was not surprising in the slightest. So i got ben to help me and all was well. Starting to do blog entries now =] bubaii
