propps and costumes

ello, okay starting from Wednesday, February 7, 2007

okay on this particualar drama lesson, we focused on improvisational skills, we first did an improv game with no materials or props what so ever, this was some what hard, i found it to be reletivly easy though because we have done improve scince year 8 drama and i was a pretty much used to it, but for some people who are starting drama for the first time this year it was a good and influencial game fro them to losen up and really learn what drama is all about.

We then sat in random places on the floor, as you handed out, different props/costumes...i found it funny looking at each persons face upon recieving there costume, there faced seemed to be saying, ' what am i ment to do with this.' ha ha ha i laughed, anyway, i recieved, your white hat thing, because you had forgotten abotu me :( and run out of propps, just kidding, but yer i got the hat thing.

We then had a moment to think and explor the possible characters that could be linked to this prop/costume. I disided to be i rapper/yo yo hommie brother, character, which was the only thing i could think of. We all sat down again, and you made me, molly and willks, stand up and shout out something in our character, i just cae out with this loud 'YEAHH', I found the prop to be very helpfull in extending the range of a character, it helped you get into the 'Zone' more and creat more of a real person.

Props are a useful to embelish a character if it is a difficult on to convay, they helpan actor to become the character.
